Who is responsible for finances if titlte in 18 yr old name but living with parents

if my son had auto in his name but lived at our address are we responsible for obligation of lawsuit.

In most states, the 18 yr old is responsible (as she would an adult). However, if you insure the vehicle for her, or you are in anyway guilty of negligent entrustment, you could still be liable.

Also, you decide to insure her/him (put her on your policy), you might open yourself to liability for any accident that might occur.
