Reimbursement for missed work due to car accident

I was rear-ended on my way to work New Year's Eve and as a result was late to work and ended up missing 5hrs of holiday pay.

My insurance company is the same as the driver who hit me. They are telling me that they will not cover my missed pay since it is not due to an injury. Is this correct?

Answer:

Usually there is no wage loss payment if there is no injury.

If you were not injured, you may want to check with an attorney (good idea even if you were injured.

Good Luck,
