I decided to switch from progressive back to State
Farm.There commercials are so true about State Farm they treat you like family and always keep you informed. I called progressive several times and never was I informed of the consequences of any choices made to policies. I understand that at anytime a change or cancellation is made something will be affected but I expect to be aware of whats going on especially if this is not my area of expertise. I spoke with Cindy today and it seemed like all of them key in on only certain words when you are speaking not absorbing your intentions for the call. On one day I asked as many questions as I could about canceling a policy and was told clear as day that I would not be billed for anything after I canceled. Suddenly I get an email saying I owed them over $45. WHAT!!! Next I call to cancel it future dated yet that rep failed to educate on any prorated charges and canceled the EFT on my account failing to tell me that if I do then I have to wait for refunds to come through the mail but if it was still active it would be directly deposited into my account!!! WTF! These company's such as Progressive need to train employees on the art of Next Call Prevention. We do not know the questions to ask therefore a strategy should be in place covering all the imperative information a customer should know. What the heck are they getting paid for. There name should be changed from customer Care to "Customers, We Don't Care". All the previous agents could have prevented this snowball of a disaster by being a bit more proactive and informative. If I am told something I shouldn't have to put forth any strenuous effort to make sure what I was told was correct. Progressive needs to be more considerate and stop treating us like policy numbers. I am getting everyone I know to join State Farm.
