Lying to protect another driver | how would they know?
by Brandy
How can insurance companies find out if someone says they were driving in order to protect a family member who was driving whilst their license was suspended?
If we don't dispute the claim and admit fault, why does it matter who was driving?
Answer:
Because there might not be coverage for that person. The insurance company might exclude that person.
If they find out (police report, talking to witnesses, recoded statements, etc), there might be a case of fraud.
Never lie to an insurance company, the consequences can be devastating.
Good Luck,
