Legal action aganist me for being a son's reference?

My son was in a car accident, I was a reference can they come after me for payment or peruse legal action?

Well we are not sure what you mean a reference? A witness to the accident? A reference to the car loan? Also, how old is your son? You will not be liable for anything unless you have some kind of stake on the insurance policy and/or the car. Also, it depends on how old is your son.
