Is the dealership liable?

My auto is being repaired at local auto dealership. I received a call today that my vehicle was backed into by another customer.

The dealership has had my car for over a week, now the day before I am to pick it up I receive this call. My question is who is liable the dealership or the customer who hit my car while in the care of the dealer or both.

Actually both, assuming your car was parked. They are joint and severely liable for your damages. You could elect to have the dealer repair / fix your car and have them and the person who hit you figure it out.
