Is it okay to send the liability adjuster the MRI report if the findings are positive so they can increase their reserve.

An insurance adjuster had no information five months post accident. MRI shows disc bulges, their reserve was only for back strain. Can the MRI report be sent earlier so they can increase their reserve?

Answer:

Hello Ilene,

Well, they adjuster will most likely want to see the report. It's possible that the adjuster increase the reserve but that's no guarantee. In addition, you would not know if they do or they don't. They simply keep that internally.

If the records show more of a permanent injury, then they will offer you more, which may or may not be within the last reserve.
