is a paper route considered a bussiness and will my insurance company cover my accident?

Well I was doing a paper route and hit a cow car is totaled but insurance company does not want to pay for damages is this right?

That because I was doing business but they didn't tell me that when i bought the policy. Thank you

Answer:

Hello,

Well, most insurance polices specifically exclude paper routes and pizza delivery routes. The ones that do not exclude them, exclude any business enterprise. Delivering paper can be within that exclusion, which can leave you completely out of coverage.

The rationale behind such a exclusion is that the insurance company takes a higher risk by insuring someone who drives every day for business (or the person who is on the business of driving) than insuring the person who simply drives back and forth to work.

Read the policy and see what it says, exactly.
