Damage from a tire on the freeway

If I was driving on the freeway and a car lost his tire and the tire hit my vehicle, would i be able to get the damages fixed by the other persons insurance?

Answer:

Most likely yes. The person driving the vehicle has a duty to unsure his/her vehicle is safe to drive. Failure of following that duty will lead to negligence (if there is damage – which in this case sounds like there is).
