Car totaled fault of others

The other party lost control of their car,came into my lane and we hit head on. Their insurance says they will payoff my car, my rental, medical bills incurred from the accident. both vehicles were totaled.

I owed a couple thousand more on the vehicle than they offered for settlement. I am now out a car. this just isn't right is it? Both parties are from Maine.p-

Hello, well, that is one of those situation were insurance companies can really take advantage of you, legally.

You will have to do some negotiating and hopefully get them to pay $2000 more, but chances are the insurance company will hold their line on a lower settlement.
