Can I clean the title of my motorcycle?
My 1967 BSA motorcycle was considered totaled, but the frame was not bent, and still runs fine, will my title still be good?
Answer:
No. If the motorcycle is a total loss, it means that the title will show it. You could elect to keep your motorcycle (if your state allows, which most do) but the title will be a "salvage" one.
That is what total loss is about, they will pay you for the damage to the motorcycle or it's full fair market value (if the repair cost it's higher than it's market value) in exchange of branding the title.
