I was driving a rental car, when I was rear ended. My doctor listed my condition as muscle strang to neck and back. The passenger in the car is still surving from severe back problems. I was release from my doctor after 9 days. Was I wrong for filing a claim against the other driver insurance company, since he was at fault.
Answer:
No, you were not wrong for filing a claim against the at fault driver's insurance company, this is exactly what you are supposed to do.
You still have to file a claim with your insurance company to make sure that all medical bills get paid. Usually, your own insurance company pays for your medical bills first, and then when you settle, the responsible party insurance company will refund them to your insurance.
