Accident now causing reposession?

I was in an auto accident a few months back and am now in physical therapy waiting on next app to schedule surgery. I was in a work vehicle when this happened someone blew a stop sign and I broadsided them. They were ticketed.

It is first going through work comp then the other cars insurance. My truck got reposessed last week due to the difference in money coming in now. Is the other vehicle responsible for me losing things if I cant afford them now?
